Sandwich Panel Joints

The IXL insulated panel consists of metal sheet, insulating foam and adhesive. The IXL joints reinforce the strength of insulating structure. Easy to install.

IXL Slip – joint™

IXL Slip – joint™

IXL Slip – joint™ is suitable for insulated wall and ceiling. It is made of Food Grade CB steel, complies with USDA standards and regulations or SS stainless steel. IXL Slip – joint™ strengthens panel’s edge by having the female part of the panel edge joint being formed as a fold extending along at least one edge of the sheet metal forming a cavity to receive the male part.

IXL I – joint™

IXL I – joint™

IXL I – joint™ is suitable for insulated wall and ceiling that is made of FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic). IXL I – joint™ provides straight edge, easy to install.

IXL Roof™

IXL Roof™

IXL Roof™ is suitable for insulated roof. The top edges of metal sheets are folded at right angles, then covered with round hip ridges to prevent water leakage. The bottom of the panel edge joints forms as a fold to lock with the insulated foam. Easy to install.

Insulation Joints

IXL has improved the Finger Joint technique. The butt joint between the ends of insulation core applies Finger Joint detail providing a seamless bond across the insulation core. These joints reinforce the strength of insulating structure.

Exterior Sheathing Options

IXL has a wide range of exterior sheathing options to choose as per your purpose of use.

Exterior Sheathing Materials

  • CB Galvanized steel sheet for rust prevention, being coated with 3-layer Modified Polyester (Food Grade) complies with USDA standards and regulations.
    – BlueScope SD ZM180 Antibacterial Steel: Zinc Coat 180 g/m2, 0.45-0.60mm total coated thickness (TCT)
    – BlueScope SD ZM120 Steel: Zinc Coat 120 g/m2, 0.45mm total coated thickness (TCT)
  • Stainless steel sheet (SS), Grade 304, 2D matt, being coated with backing coat for better adhesive, 0.40 mm thickness
  • LAMILUX Glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) without rust, smooth surface, 1.5mm thickness

IXL Insulated Panel

EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) is generally used in panel applications due to its insulation properties and high strength to weight ratio. Two grades of EPS are utilised in IXL Insulated Panels; P - Grade (standard) and F - Grade (Self Extinguish).

null

XPS (Extruded Polystyrene or Styrofoam) is used in applications where a higher strength to weight ratio is required. Styrofoam offers greater insulation properties as well as higher resistance to water absorption and water vapour permeability and reducing the risk of ice formation in cold store applications

null

PUR (Polyurethane) is made from fully cured foam slabs thereby ensuring they are flat and not subject to further shrinkage when cut. Besides being a high insulating material, it is also CFC free ensuring and Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) of zero.

null

PIR (Polyisocyanurate) has similar properties to PUR. Even though PIR is not non - combustible, it does not burn in the same way as other foams such as EPS and PUR. When subject to fire, PIR forms a carbonaceous layer which retards further flame spread and penetration.
